Physical Object Devices (PODs)

Overview

Physical Object Devices are an attempt to create a simpler software interface to hardware devices. PODs use a object-oriented approach to hardware offering functions to access hardware elements and a level of abstraction that makes hardware simple enough for any programmer to use.
Research is currently being done in several areas.
