HTG-V4-PCIE(Hitech Global Virtex 4 PCI-express evaluation board)

This board seems to be what we'd like. It would be even better if it had some SRAM, and more DRAM, but it's pretty close to what we wanted.

It comes with evaluation cores for PCIe, SATA, DDR2, and SD/SDIO/MMC cards.

It turns out that evaluation cores means that the application is hard coded. Not too useful for us. Xilinx was kind enough to help us get a PCIe core, but the board has been on order for more than six months...

These are some questions I have

  1. How much can I customize the cores? (can I change teh device and vendor IDs, address ranges, etc)
  2. Can I get the cores before the hardware?
  3. How much do the cores cost for each form (binary vs. source vs. netlist)?
  4. Do I need the SMA to SATA add-on board?
